Japan Matsuri 2017

London’s very own and much loved festival of Japanese culture – Japan Matsuri – takes places in 2017 on Sunday 24th September.

Everything kicks off at 10.00am and runs through till 8.00pm. With two stages, there is plenty to see all day with an exciting programme of martial arts, the thrilling sounds of taiko drumming and festival dance. There is also the opportunity to join in with the ever popular Nodojiman karaoke contest.

Enjoy the atmosphere even more with an array of mouth-watering Japanese festival food from a host of brightly coloured food stalls. Munch on classic Japanese street snacks such as takoyaki octopus balls, yakisoba noodles, or okonomiyaki pancakes, or go for something more substantial with wagyu burgers, ramen, bento boxes, donburi rice bowls and sushi.

Immerse yourself in Japanese culture with food, performances, origami, karaoke and martial arts at this free festival!
