Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace is in Surrey, on the edge of London next to the River Thames. It is famous as the home of King Henry VIII. Set in 60 acres of formal gardens, including the famous maze and Great Vine, this palace is well worth a visit.
The place is filled with plenty of really knowledgeable guides offering juicy tidbits of historical information you wouldn’t find in any book.
Audio guides are included in the palace ticket and costumed tours and talks happen daily, as well as an excellent programme of seasonal events.
Whether you are just visiting the grounds, having a wander through the galleries, or going for a full on tour, Hampton Court never disappoints!
